  • Librarian for Digital Projects, Library Technology and Digital Services, Vanderbilt University Libraries, 2007-present
    Design, implement, manage, and support digital library projects, digital exhibits, and other custom web applications.
    • Manage select digital projects and processes
      • Currently serving as chair of the library’s Web Refresh Team, which is responsible for the migration of our current public website to new OmniUpdate templates along with a few infrastructure improvements.
      • Served as chair of the library’s Digital Projects Committee in 2017, which reviewed digital project proposals and made implementation and priority recommendations to the appropriate units.
      • Served as technical lead for the implementation of Heard Alert in 2017, a blend of staff news and staff web resources built on Wordpress.
    • Design and implement new digital library projects and custom web applications, primarily powered by Drupal, Wordpress, or custom PHP/MySQL.
    • Improve and troubleshoot problems with existing digital library projects and custom web applications.
    • Assist in developing and maintaining digital exhibits, powered by Wordpress, Omeka, FireSign, and custom PHP/MySQL.
    • Serve as Level 10 backup administrator for the library OmniUpdate site and troubleshoot/enhance scripts within OmniUpdate as needed.
    • Assist in supporting the Vanderbilt Television News Archive public website, administrative website, and video transcoding system, powered by custom Ruby on Rails, Perl, and MySQL.
    • Work with students and library/faculty mentors on select Library Fellows projects.
    • Work with external consultants on various web-related projects for the library.
    • Participate on committees and project teams.
  • Archives Processor, Special Collections and University Archives, Vanderbilt University Libraries, 2003-2007
    Assisted the Archives Associate with the general maintenance of the University Archives.
    • Processed archival material.
    • Oversaw the Vanderbilt Publications collection.
    • Designed and maintained various departmental databases, websites, and other electronic material.
    • Performed reference services for both on-campus and public patrons.

  • Cataloging Practicum Student, Beaman Library, Lipscomb University, 2006
    Obtained three hours of class credit for completing 150 hours of work time in a small academic library setting, learning the basics of cataloging.
    • Copy cataloged books, DVDs, sheet music, and CDs.
    • Created original records for books, DVDs, and sheet music.
    • Became familiar with the library's ILS (Innovative Millennium) and OCLC's Connexion.
